How dark can I legally go in Alabama?+

Alabama law requires a minimum of 32% visible light transmission (VLT) on front side windows. Back side windows and rear windows allow 32% on sedans and as dark as 6% on SUVs, trucks, and vans. Windshields allow a non-reflective tint strip on the top 6 inches only. We know Alabama tint law inside and out — and we won't install illegal film on your vehicle. Every install is spec-checked before you leave

What is VLT and how does it work?+

VLT stands for Visible Light Transmission — it's the percentage of visible light that passes through your tint. A 70% VLT lets in most light and appears nearly clear, while a 5% VLT (limo tint) blocks nearly all of it. Lower VLT means darker windows and more privacy, but state law sets the minimum allowed on front side windows. We walk every customer through the options so you get the look you want without any compliance issues.

Do you apply a ceramic coating to the glass after tinting?+

Yes — included with every install at no extra charge. After the film is applied, we coat the tinted glass with the same professional ceramic coating used in our standalone installs. It adds hydrophobic protection, strengthens the glass against chips and micro-scratches, and keeps your windows cleaner longer. Most shops don't do this — we consider it standard.
